After initial contact we will schedule a session, either in London, Sevenoaks or online as soon as possible.

The first session is about us getting to know each other. It will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process. I will also invite you to talk about what brings you to counselling, your goals and desires for our work, and to share some of your personal history. At the end of this session it is likely that we will have a good idea as to whether we want to start working together.

Once the decision is made to continue I will discuss how we will work together, this is what is known as a working agreement. This agreement will outline the confidential nature of the sessions, the cancellation policy and establish our commitment to working together in regular weekly sessions. We may decide to work together for a set number of sessions or in an open-ended contract. This will vary depending on both the issue you are bringing and what you wish to get out of therapy.
