We need to give more attention to what’s happening inside of you.

There’s a huge focus on what’s happening outside of you.

You’ve been taught to focus on success, whether by achieving those grades, grabbing that promotion, or buying that jazzy car.

But you were probably taught diddly-squat about your emotional world (me too), which is when we wind up depressed, angry or anxious.

I teach people that you don’t need to be afraid of your emotions – no matter how confusing, taboo or difficult they feel, and to get you to a place where you can feel more of them. You can then feel more connected to yourself again.

Luckily, you can learn to be successful, AND in touch with yourself. This is what creates sustainable success.

So, what can you actually expect from me?

I’m tender and kind, but I’ll also be direct with you.
I’ll share some of my vulnerabilities.
I’ll be human and real, but I’ll also have an eye on what’s going on beneath the surface.

You can expect no nonsense responses from me.
You can expect me to fight for you, and to be in the ring with you.

You can expect me to be on your side, not always in the way you want me to be, but in the way you need me to be.

What will our sessions be like?

Sessions can be quiet, deep and tender.

Other times there will be howls of laughter.

Sometimes they’ll be full of stories.

I don’t have set rules about how sessions should go, so if you’re looking for sessions to be highly structured, then I probably won’t be the right therapist for you. I’m keen to get ‘work’ done, but find that the ‘work’ I do doesn’t happen in a highly structured way. Don’t worry, I’ll have a master plan but it will inform our work more as an overview, than a set of steps for you to follow.

You deserve…

1) A therapist who is going to speak up and find a way to say the unsayable, instead of dropping silent and nodding their head. I know these can be the very times the work moves forward.

2) To feel deeply understood, like someone gets your quirks, has been there, and will speak your language.

The low down on me…

I’m a driven, emotional & passionate millennial.

I’m fanatical about personal growth.

I see myself as equal parts gentle and gutsy.

I grew up and attended school in suburbia, Kent. (Lots of nature, I love walks in the wood!)

I completed a BA in English Literature and History of Art at the University of York that grew my analytical mind.

Following this, I worked in corporate settings in London, at times juggling this with my counselling training. I know juggling is impossibly hard!

Whilst working in the corporate world I also experienced how stressful the workplace can be and the impact this has on us.

Now to the nitty gritty…

I’ve completed a 3 year Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling, validated by the University of Middlesex and accredited by BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).

Check out the box to the right to learn more about Psychosynthesis. I trained at the Psychosynthesis Trust.

I am a registered member of a professional body, BACP, and adhere to their Ethical Framework. This means I’m willing to be held accountable for the work I do in my practice.

I am insured with Holistic Services Insurance.

I have regular supervision with a highly experienced colleague.

I’ve had regular personal therapy which means that I get what it’s like to be in your shoes. I’ve also engaged in therapy beyond my course requirements because I’ve received real value from therapy.
