Parking: Free all day parking can be found in three locations. 1) Oak Lane, just outside the road ‘The Dene’; there’s a footpath and it’s a 10 minute walk. 2) Fiennes way; 11 minute walk. 3) Towards the end of Solefields Road; 20 minute walk. The nearest and easiest pay & display car park to use is the Stag Theatre (South Park); a 4 minute walk.

Directions: If you’re coming up the high street, so up past Waitrose, you will find the entrance to the office immediately past the red door of Jackson-Stops.

Outside of Building

The counselling room is a 4 minute walk from Sevenoaks Bus Station, and a 17 minute walk from Sevenoaks Train Station. It is located within a 20 minute drive, or less, from: Westerham, Knockholt, Brasted, Sundridge, Otford, Dunton Green, Chipstead, Seal, Tonbridge & Orpington.

I’m a counsellor, and I rent out my counselling room in the heart of Sevenoaks, Kent to counsellors, psychotherapists and clinical psychologists.

The counselling room was newly renovated in May 2024. 

Key Features: 

  • It has been decorated in a thoughtful and neutral way so as not to get in the way of the work we do with our clients.
  • The location is in the very heart of Sevenoaks, at the top of the high street.
  • It is more spacious and light than most counselling rooms. It is 4 x 3 meters. It has one large sash window and double doors leading on to a balcony.
  • It’s on the second floor; so is very quiet and private.
Practicals: 
The room is on the second floor and is only accessible by two flights of stairs. There is no wheelchair access. 

There isn’t a waiting area, instead therapists greet clients at the front door at the scheduled session time. This works well as the office building is quiet.

Furnishings: 

The room is stocked with tissues, a jug, glasses, mugs and tea and coffee. 
There is a fully equipped shared kitchen on the first floor that includes a fridge, coffee machine, microwave, kettle, utensils and crockery. There are also toilets on the same floor as the room. 

Capacity:

The room is suitable for individual and couples counselling, as well as group workshops. It comfortably sits 6 people, and can accommodate more with sufficient notice. 

Internet Connection:

Includes excellent WiFi.

Availability & Pricing: 

Monday to Sunday, 8am – 9pm.

Ad Hoc Bookings: £13 per 50 minute session (no minimum amount of bookings required). 

Discounted Block Bookings: When you book 3 x hour blocks or more the hourly rate is reduced to £10 per hour.

Payment Terms:

Payment by secure bank transfer.

For ad hoc bookings payment is needed at the time of booking to secure the room. 

For recurring monthly bookings payment is on the 1st of each month in advance. 

Bookings: 

There is an online booking system for room bookings. It is very easy to use and can be accessed on your phone.

Once you book the room an entry code, instructions and videos will be emailed over to you. These explain all aspects of the room rental. If you would prefer another viewing of the room that will also be possible.

Community: 

I’m starting up a peer community/ supervision network in Sevenoaks for psychodynamic & integrative counsellors and psychotherapists. The aim is for it to be a friendly, supportive but professional community of therapists that we can refer clients to because we really understand how each other works. It is also an opportunity to deepen our clinical work with more insights from others, and to support each other in running a private practice.
